Dhurandhar BO Collection: Crosses Rs 200 crore in 2 days! Ranveer Singh created a storm at the box office

Director Aditya Dhar’s sequel to the blockbuster franchise ‘Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge’ created a stir at the box office upon its release. This spy thriller starring Ranveer Singh took the record of the fourth highest opening in the country on the very first day. The film earned a strong Rs 43 crore through paid preview shows on March 18, while registering a historic opening of Rs 102.55 crore upon its official release on March 19.

The glow continued on the second day also

There was a slight decline in the pace of the film on the second day, but the earning trend remained strong. On Friday, the film collected Rs 80.72 crore with a decline of 21.3%. With this spectacular performance, the total India gross collection of the film has reached Rs 269.39 crore and net collection has reached Rs 226.27 crore. Trade experts believe that the film can reach close to Rs 400 crore on the weekend.

Dominance in Hindi belt, slow pace in South

The maximum impact of the film was seen in the Hindi belt. Out of the total earning of Rs 80.72 crore on the second day, Rs 78.94 crore came only from the Hindi version.

Hindi: 19,025 shows, 64.3% occupancy
Telugu: Rs 1.30 crore (35% occupancy)
Tamil: Rs 0.44 crore (27% occupancy)
Kannada: Rs 0.03 crore
Malayalam: Rs 0.01 crore

The film’s performance was relatively slow in South India, but the Hindi market gave it a boost.

Big records destroyed, many films left behind

Dhurandhar 2 has left behind the lifetime collections of many big films in just two days.

Now the film is very close to breaking the record of Yash Raj Films’ ‘War’ (236 crores).

Ranveer’s charm in foreign countries too

The magic of the film is not limited to India only, but its dominance is being seen in foreign countries also. On the first day, the film had a global opening of Rs 236.63 crore, of which Rs 64 crore came from overseas markets. Including paid previews and opening day, this film has become one of the fastest grossing Indian films worldwide.

This film is the sequel of 2025 superhit ‘Dhurandhar’, in which this time the action and scale has been increased manifold. R with Ranveer Singh in the film. Veteran actors like Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and Rakesh Bedi are seen. National Award winning director Aditya Dhar has directed, written and co-produced the film, which is evident in its grandeur and story. Looking at the pace at which Dhurandhar 2 is progressing at the box office, it would not be wrong to say that in the coming days, this film can break many more records and become the biggest blockbuster of 2026.
