‘Dhurandhar’ created history… crossed Rs 700 crore for the first time in Bollywood, these stars lagged behind Ranveer Singh
Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh’s film ‘Dhurandhar’ has been a wild-fire in theaters for the last 23 days. This film has created an atmosphere in the theaters that was not created throughout the year. This amazing craze among the public has taken ‘Dhurandhar’ to a peak which the film trade had never imagined. ‘Dhurandhar’ has become the first Bollywood film to cross the landmark of Rs 700 crore net collection. And Ranveer Singh is the new ‘Dhurandhar’ of Bollywood box office. The total net collection of the film has crossed Rs 705 crore in 23 days.

Another blast from ‘Dhurandhar’
‘Dhurandhar’, Bollywood’s biggest film on Christmas, was a little slow on Friday. For the first time after three weeks of run, its daily collection was less than 18 crores. Fourth Friday total of ‘Dhurandhar’ was Rs 16.70 crore. But from Saturday morning itself, the shows of ‘Dhurandhar’ started getting crowded again. ‘Dhurandhar’, which has been surprising the trade every weekend, has taken a jump of 25% on Saturday. Initial estimates of trade reports are that ‘Dhurandhar’ has made a net collection of around Rs 21 crore on Saturday.
On Friday the film had collected more than Rs 685 crore. Bollywood fans were now waiting for the new record. And ‘Dhurandhar’ has now completed this wait. For the first time, Bollywood film business has crossed the landmark of Rs 700 crore net collection. And this miracle has happened on the strength of Ranveer’s ‘Dhurandhar’.

Bollywood had crossed the Rs 100 crore mark for the first time with Aamir Khan’s ‘Ghajini’ (2008). Aamir also made the industry cross the landmark of Rs 200 crore and Rs 300 crore. Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Pathan’ opened the doors of Rs 400 crore and Rs 500 crore club for Bollywood.
