Dhurandhar Expands to 24×7 Shows in Mumbai After Blockbuster Opening; Ranveer Singh Film Sets New Benchmark

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar has delivered one of the most surprising box office openings of 2025, prompting several Mumbai theatres to run the film round the clock. Following exceptional demand, cinemas have added multiple post-midnight and early-morning shows, making the film available almost 24 hours a day.

The spy thriller notched an impressive ₹27-crore opening, far surpassing trade expectations of ₹18–20 crore and marking the strongest opening day of Ranveer Singh’s career. The strong word-of-mouth response has encouraged exhibitors to expand show timings across the city.

Post-Midnight and Early-Morning Shows Added

By Friday evening, several theatres in Mumbai had added special late-night and early-morning screenings.

  • PVR Sangam, Chakala is running a 1:50 AM show

  • Eros has introduced a 6 AM IMAX show

  • PVR Citi Mall and MovieMax Sion have added early-morning shows

  • Metro INOX is screening the film at 1:30 AM

A few theatres have gone even further.
Maxus Cinema Bhayandar is screening the film nearly non-stop, with eight late-night and early-morning shows spread across its screens.
Maxus Borivali has introduced six shows during the same window, bringing round-the-clock access to moviegoers.

Strong Box Office Performance

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar secured ₹27 crore net on day one, making it one of the biggest Hindi film openings of 2025—second only to Chhaava, which opened at ₹31 crore. The film’s advance booking figure of ₹14 crore had initially suggested a more moderate start, but positive public response boosted collections significantly.

There have also been unconfirmed discussions within industry circles about the possibility of inflated numbers through block bookings, though none of these claims have been officially verified.
