Mumbai: Ranveer Singh’s film ‘Dhurandhar’ has done wonders at the box office. The blockbuster has grossed over Rs 1100 crore worldwide and has now reached number 1 on ticket booking platform BookMyShow. ‘Dhurandhar’ has left all Bollywood films behind by selling more than 1.3 crore tickets, making it the highest ticket selling Hindi film of all time.
New record of ‘Dhurandhar’!
According to SACNL report, 13 million (1.3 crore) tickets of ‘Dhurandhar’ have been sold on BookMyShow. Earlier this record was in the name of Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chhaava’, which had sold a little more than 12.5 million tickets last year. After this is Shahrukh Khan’s hit film ‘Jawaan’, whose sales were 12.4 million. At fourth place is ‘Stree 2’, which sold more than 10 million tickets. ‘Dhurandhar’ has set a new standard by defeating them all.
‘Dhurandhar’ has sold around 3.5 crore tickets so far
If we talk about total ticket sales in India, ‘Dhurandhar’ has sold around 3.5 crore tickets, making it one of the most watched Hindi films of recent years. BookMyShow generally covers ticket bookings at urban multiplexes, so this figure better reflects the true popularity of the film. This spy thriller directed by Aditya Dhar was released in December 2025 and has been ruling the cinema halls ever since. Its earnings have been excellent even in the fourth week, and a huge crowd of viewers was seen on New Year.
Ranveer Singh breathed life into his character
The main reason for the success of the film is its attractive plot, excellent action and star cast. Ranveer Singh has brought life to the lead role, while the performances of Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan and Arjun Rampal have given the film an even higher level. The perfect blend of patriotism, suspense and emotions has been liked by the audience. Beautiful locations like Ladakh also made this film a visual experience. ‘Dhurandhar’ currently holds the top spot among all Indian films, although Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ will sell 20 million tickets in 2024. But it is definitely number 1 in Bollywood and is expected to do big in future also.
