‘Dhurandhar’ shines at the box office, the film entered the Rs 250 crore club in 8 days, defeated ‘Kantara Chapter 1’

New Delhi: Ranveer Singh’s film ‘Dhurandhar’ performed spectacularly, winning the hearts of the audience in its first week. The second week of the film started from Friday and on the very first day ‘Dhurandhar’ created a storm at the box office. In just 8 days it has crossed the Rs 250 crore mark and has been included in the list of the highest grossing Hindi films of the year.

The film’s earnings continued to increase in the first week. After an excellent opening weekend, audiences reached theaters in large numbers even on working days. On Thursday, the film crossed the milestone of Rs 200 crore and the total net collection reached above Rs 218 crore.

New blast of ‘Dhurandhar’

The box office journey of the first week made the film a unique success. The collection of the film on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday was higher than the first Friday. On Thursday, the film earned more than Rs 29 crore and took its first week’s total net collection to above Rs 218 crore.

According to reports, on the second Friday, ‘Dhurandhar’ recorded a day collection between Rs 32-33 crore. This figure is not only higher than the last four days, but is also higher than the first Friday. It is a bit difficult for a film to earn more on the second Friday than the first Friday, but ‘Dhurandhar’ broke this record.

250 crore milestone crossed

The total net collection of the film has reached above Rs 250 crore in 8 days. Earlier, Rishabh Shetty’s ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ was the third biggest Hindi film of the year, which had earned more than Rs 224 crore in Hindi. ‘Dhurandhar’ left it behind in just 8 days and took the title of third highest grossing Hindi film of the year.

Close to Rs 300 crore in the weekend

The film had earned more than Rs 106 crore in the first weekend. ‘Dhurandhar’ is rapidly moving towards crossing the Rs 300 crore mark in the second weekend. The trend of the film is strong at the box office and after Monday it will be seen challenging many big records.
