Showrunners try so hard to keep everything secret, but fans always find a way to dig deeper. Sometimes they even discover things nobody expected. This time one Pluribus fan may have uncovered a massive spoiler before episode 7 even drops. And he did it using Google Earth of all things. His discovery has everyone shocked.
Before we go further a warning. This piece talks about major plot points from episode 6. If you have not watched the earlier episodes you should stop reading right now.
So here is what happened. Carol’s neighborhood in the show is not a real neighborhood. It was built from scratch for filming. When one very dedicated fan learned this he got curious. He opened Google Earth to see what the set looked like from above. But instead of just spotting the location he found something that might be a clue for episode 7.
The Reddit user who goes by Jjhend looked at an aerial view of the same house we have seen on the show. Then he used the Google Earth timeline feature and jumped back to August 2024 when the show was being filmed. That is where he noticed the words come back written in big white letters right in front of Carol’s house. The message looked intentional. It also was not there in August 2023 when the neighborhood was still being built.
Now fans are wondering what this means. We have watched six episodes and we have never seen those words appear in the show itself. So maybe the message is tied to an upcoming storyline. Even the original Reddit user suggested that the message might be for the Hive. His idea was that they cut Carol off completely and she is desperate to get their attention again. Anyone who wants to see it for themselves can look up the coordinates on Google: 35°09’55.4″N 106°44’46.4″W.
Fans online are now having a field day with this discovery. One joked that Carol must really miss that pirate lady. Another wondered what Carol did to make the Hive even more upset. Someone else joked that this is what happens when Apple TV makes everyone wait too long between episodes.
Pluribus episode 7 will release on December 11 at 6 pm PT and 9 pm ET. The episode is titled The Gap. It will follow Manousos as he makes a risky journey to reach Carol. Meanwhile Carol gets even more creative with her rebellion after coming back from Las Vegas.
