Did Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone fight on YJHD sets post breakup; co-actor describes situation in detail

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani remains one of the most celebrated and loved films of Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone together. Their crackling chemistry in the film makes it impossible to believe that the couple had just parted ways before the shooting commenced. Now, actor Naveen Kaushik of ‘Dhurandhar’ fame has shared what was the mood on the sets of the film.

A fight brewing?

Kaushik, who is basking in the glory of ‘Dhurandhar’, has said that everyone expected a fight to break out any time. But, Ranbir and Deepika remained thorough professionals not paying any fodder to gossipmongers.

“Like everyone else, we also thought a fight might break out at any time, and we were almost anticipating that if something happened, we’d witness it and have some gossip to talk about. But nothing like that happened. They were absolutely professional on set,” he told Sidharth Kannan.

Naveen went on to add that despite the circumstances, the mountain terrains, extreme weather conditions; they all partied together all the time. He added that there was no jealousy or romantic things happening on the sets and it was all very cordial.

No sparks

“Our shoot was extremely gruelling, not because of long working hours, but because of the locations. We were shooting on very steep mountains, sometimes climbing ten feet straight up and shooting there. Despite that, there were always parties with the entire cast and crew in between. They were very cordial and very nice. There was no sparks happening whether romantic or jealousy. They were very fun to be with and always open to talk with other crews.”

Even though there was bad blood between the two for a while, Ranbir and Deepika are now cordial and happily married to their respective partners.
