Friends, even though things have become easier in today’s modern era, cyber criminals are constantly finding new ways to cheat people. One worrying scam that is on the rise is so-called ‘digital arrest’ fraud, in which fraudsters take advantage of people’s fear and panic to extort money. If you have been digitally arrested then you can complain here-
1. Take action immediately
If you suspect any cyber fraud, call the National Cyber Crime Helpline 1930 without any delay.
2. Report Online
You can lodge your complaint on the government portal: www.cybercrime.gov.in.
3. Visit Cyber Police Station
File a written complaint at your nearest cyber police station for appropriate legal action.
4. Use ‘Chakshu’ feature
Report suspicious calls or messages through the ‘Eye’ feature available on the Sanchar Saathi portal.

Don’t panic or fear threats coming from unknown numbers.
Scammers may ask you to keep quiet—but never keep it a secret. Tell your family or trusted friends about this immediately.
If you have transferred money, inform your bank immediately so that efforts can be made to block the transaction.
Most importantly, remember this: No police or government agency arrests anyone over video calls or digital platforms.
