Digital revolution of Punjab government, end of office work, get 437 services sitting at home
Punjab Digital Revolution: The Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has achieved a historic achievement by making the administrative structure of the state completely digital and citizen-friendly by the year 2025.
Punjab has today emerged as a state in the country where ‘government is not running from offices, but from people’s homes’. This wave of administrative reforms has not only ensured transparency and accountability in government functioning, but has also uprooted the decades-long culture of ‘recommendation and delay’.
Government services at doorstep
Giving information about this transformational change, Cabinet Minister Aman Arora said that due to the far-sighted policies of the state government, today the common citizen of Punjab is availing the benefits of government services sitting at the doorstep of his house.
Bhagwant Maan Sarkar Tuhade Dwar
‘Bhagwant Mann Sarkar Tuhade Dwar’ scheme has proved to be the strongest pillar of this digital revolution, through which so far 437 types of different services have been provided to more than 1.85 lakh citizens at their homes. This scheme is not only time saving but has also emerged as a great support for the elderly and rural area residents.
Online disposal of applications
The biggest example of administrative efficiency has been seen in the Revenue Department, where more than 12.46 lakh applications have been disposed of online by the Patwaris. This inclusion of technology has simplified the real estate related tasks which were once the center of corruption and delays.
no need for middlemen
Now the entire process has become paperless and security and authenticity have got a new dimension through QR-coded digital certificates. With this, there is no longer any need for citizens to visit offices or seek help from middlemen.
Real-time monitoring from digital dashboard
The main basis of this success of the government is the real-time monitoring being done through ‘Digital Dashboard’. Thanks to this state-of-the-art system, the pendency (pending cases) of all departmental services has now come down to just 0.33%, which is the lowest level ever in the administrative history of the state.
corruption free governance
Minister Aman Arora clarified that there is a clear instruction from Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann that the public work should be done within the time limit without any hindrance. Today, Punjab has proved that a combination of technology and strong political will can lead to a transparent and corruption-free governance system, which is directly dedicated to the welfare of the common man.
