Digvijay Singh’s social media post heats up politics – praise of RSS and BJP, questions on Congress leadership

New Delhi, 27 December. Just before the start of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting today at the All India Congress Committee (AICC) headquarters at Indira Bhawan in the national capital, the social media post of senior Congress leader and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh has created a stir in political circles.

Digvijay Singh has shared an old picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in which Modi is seen sitting near the feet of Lal Krishna Advani. Digvijay Singh wrote with this picture, ‘The grassroots volunteer of RSS and the grassroots worker of BJP sat down and became CM and PM… this is the strength of the organization.’

This social media post of Digvijay Singh has raised a big question whether this is an indirect advice to the Congress leadership? Is Digvijay Singh giving a message to the Congress leadership that there is a shortage of cadres working at the grassroots level in the party? This question is now being raised rapidly inside and outside the Congress. Interestingly, Digvijay Singh has also tagged Prime Minister Modi along with Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge in his post, which has further heated up the political atmosphere.

Questions are being raised on the timing of the post

The importance of this post increases because Digvijay Singh presented it during the CWC meeting and he himself is present in this meeting. Due to this time and message, this post has become even more important from the political point of view.

Gave advice to Congress a few days ago also

Earlier on December 19, Digvijay Singh had given a direct message to Rahul Gandhi in a post, in which he had said, ‘Pay attention to Congress. We need a practical decentralization approach. I hope you will do so, but it is not easy to understand.
