BJP opposed ISRO
Giving credit for the country’s development to Nehru, Digvijay Singh said that the present government is itself taking credit for all the major institutions present in the country. He stressed, ‘Institutions like IIT, IIM, AIIMS and ISRO were created by Nehru. When ISRO was formed, the Bharatiya Janata Party had strongly opposed it. Jan Sangh, which was an old party of BJP, had also opposed the Bhakra Nangal Dam at that time.” He alleged that today an environment of rumors is being created to defame Indira Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru.
