Diljit Dosanjh Hyderabad concert: T’gana govt issues notice to organisers | Know why
New Delhi: Diljit Dosanjh is currently dominating India with his Dil-Luminati Tour, captivating the hearts of music lovers across the country with his electrifying performances. The renowned Punjabi singer-actor is scheduled to perform in Hyderabad on Friday (November 15, 2024). However, his upcoming concert has caught the attention of the Telangana government.
A notice has been sent to the show’s organisers, stating that songs promoting violence, drugs and alcohol are not to be performed at the event. This notice, issued by the District Welfare Officer of the Department of Welfare of Women and Children, Disabled and Senior Citizens, Rangareddy, was based on a representation from a resident of Chandigarh.
According to the notice, the 40-year-old star is barred from singing songs that promote alcohol, drugs and violence at his live show scheduled which will be held in Cyberabad. It also restricts Diljit from involving children on stage, mentioning that loud sounds and flashing lights during the concert could be harmful to them.

The notice also had video evidence attached that was submitted by the complainant, claiming that Diljit previously performed songs promoting alcohol, drugs and violence during his concert at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi in October 2024. Now, all eyes are on Diljit to see how he will go ahead with his performance in Hyderabad to comply with the restrictions.

Meanwhile, Diljit has arrived in Hyderabad and has visited the historic Charminar. Through an engaging social media post, he shared a glimpse of his visit where he was seen offering prayers at both a temple and a Gurudwara in the city, mesmerising his fans.
