Disco Browser: Google has recently launched its new AI first browser ‘Disco’. This browser is different from traditional browsers, such as Chrome or Safari. Because its main goal is not just to open websites, but to create customized, interactive mini-apps or workflows for the user.
Disco has been launched as a ‘discovery vehicle’ under Google Labs, meaning that successful ideas could be incorporated into other Google products in the future, such as Chrome.
Key Features of Google Disco
Disco is run on Google’s most advanced AI model, Gemini 3, and its biggest strength is its main feature ‘Gentabs’. ZenTabs are interactive web applications instead of traditional static tabs. It takes user questions or prompts as input. Disco has been designed in such a way that AI is present in every part of the browser. Instead of adding chatbots to the side, it makes AI-generated apps the center of the browser.
When you prompt a complex task in Disco, it doesn’t just show a list of links. Rather, it understands your browsing context and opens multiple related tabs and instantly creates a trip planner app or dashboard.

Why is disco different?
Disco is task-oriented, rather than just providing information.
