District Election Officer held review meeting regarding physical verification of polling places.

District Election Officer/District Magistrate Charchal Gaur reviewed the preparations related to physical verification of polling places by holding a meeting through video conferencing with the Sector Officers posted assembly wise, all the Deputy District Magistrates and Tehsildars. In the meeting, the District Election Officer directed that on June 27, 2026, all the sector officers should visit their respective assembly constituencies and ensure physical verification of the polling places.

He said that it should be checked whether the building selected for the polling place is in suitable condition or not and whether necessary basic facilities are available there or not. He directed that during the inspection, a detailed examination of toilets, electricity supply, availability of mobile network, condition of buildings and rooms and other necessary arrangements at the polling places should be done and a report should be made available in the prescribed format. Where any deficiency is found, timely action should be ensured through the concerned departments.

The District Election Officer said that to conduct the election process in a smooth, transparent and systematic manner, it is very important to have all the necessary facilities available at the polling stations. He directed the officers to carry out the work of physical verification with seriousness and responsibility and provide the reports within the prescribed time limit.
