District Panchayat Raj Officer took five years to hide corruption of his department worth fifteen lakh rupees

District Panchayat Raj Officer and Company were successful in hiding corruption but the complaint of social worker Dharmendra ruined the plans of the corrupt. Dharmendra Kumar son of Ram Ujagir, resident of Soyam Development Block – Rudhauli, informed the District Panchayat Raj Officer, Basti on 29-02- 2024, complaining about the financial irregularities committed by Gram Panchayat Officer Rituraj Pandey.

When the District Panchayat Raj Officer got the matter investigated, financial irregularities were confirmed in which after transfer by Secretary Rituraj Pandey from development block Radhauli, Rs 59528O was withdrawn from the first account of Gram Panchayat Majhaua Kala, Rs 389718 from Gram Panchayat Bharauli and Rs 519924 from Gram Panchayat Panda. A total of Rs 1504922 has been withdrawn from the Gram Panchayats of Rudhauli development.

After confirmation of financial irregularities, the department has issued a show cause notice to the concerned Gram Panchayat Officer. If the investigation and proceedings proceed in the right direction, then the problems of Gram Panchayat Officer Rituraj Pandey are sure to increase. However, the corrupt people who should be behind the bars are openly threatening the media, the fourth pillar of democracy, with the help of their licensed weapons by making a difficult pact with the District Panchayat Raj Officer.
