DK Shivkumar will become CM on January 6… Congress MLA’s claim brought political earthquake in Karnataka, what will Siddaramaiah do now?

There is a lot of turmoil in Karnataka politics these days. HA Iqbal Hussain, a Congress Party MLA, has made a big claim on Saturday. He said that Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar will soon become the Chief Minister of Karnataka and will replace the current Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. MLA Hussain says that this change can happen on January 6. He is an MLA from Ramnagar and he said this while talking to journalists. He believes that Shivkumar should get full opportunity to lead the state, because he deserves it.

According to the report of PTI news agency, Hussain also said that ‘there is a 99 percent possibility of Shivkumar becoming the Chief Minister on January 6.’ He repeatedly reiterated his support and said that he stands with Shivkumar. When he was asked what was the significance of the date of January 6, he replied that he did not know much about it. This is just a general date that people are discussing. He said, ‘It could be 6th or even 9th January. These are the two dates that are coming forward. For the last few days, Hussain has been openly demanding to make Shivkumar the Chief Minister. getting power is a matter of luck

Meanwhile, some interesting statements have also come from the other side. Union Minister of State for Railways and BJP MP V Somanna said that he is supporting Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara for the post of Chief Minister. Somanna said this during a program in Tumakuru. He said that getting power was a matter of luck and he never thought that Parmeshwar would remain only the Home Minister. Somanna said, ‘We all want to see him as the Chief Minister, not only me, but the people of Tumkuru also want the same.’

meeting with sonia gandhi

When he was asked about DK Shivakumar, who is considered a strong contender for the post of Chief Minister, Somanna said that that matter is secondary. What Shivkumar will become depends on his destiny. He stressed that good conduct is more important than luck. Now the question is, what is going on? According to sources, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar are going to meet senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi in Delhi today, i.e. on 14th December. This meeting is taking place amid the ongoing tussle over the post of Chief Minister in the state.

‘Vote thief should leave his throne’

According to the report of Hindustan Times, this meeting will take place after a big rally of Congress at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi. This rally is being organized under the party’s ‘Vote Chor Gaddi Chhod’ campaign, in which the ruling BJP and the Election Commission are being accused of collusion. However, some updates show that Shivkumar has reached Delhi, while Siddaramaiah will come to Delhi tomorrow i.e. on 15th December. This is creating a little confusion, but the main thing is that there has to be a discussion about leadership.

CM post will be distributed for two and a half years

There are a total of 224 seats in the Karnataka Assembly and Congress has a strong majority of about 140 MLAs, so the government is stable. But for some time now, rumors of change in leadership have intensified. The Congress government has completed half of its five-year term on 20 November. Since then, reports are coming that the post of Chief Minister can be divided for two and a half years each, so that there can be a generational change. However, the party or any leader has not officially confirmed any such arrangement.

No direct action against Siddaramaiah

Shivakumar had mentioned a ‘secret agreement’ a few days ago, but did not give any details. So far, 63-year-old Shivakumar has not taken any direct action against 77-year-old Siddaramaiah. Both of them are running the government together, but internal conflicts are clearly visible. This whole situation is making the politics of Karnataka interesting. It remains to be seen what comes out of the Delhi meeting and whether there is actually any change in the post of Chief Minister or not. It is important to maintain unity within the party, otherwise the opposition can take advantage.
