DM conducts surprise inspection of Pratapganj block office, instructions to speed up census work

Supaul District Magistrate Sawan Kumar conducted a surprise inspection of the Block-cum-Zonal Office, Pratapganj. During the inspection, he had a detailed review of the works of Census 2027 with the Block Development Officer-cum-Census Officer.

The District Magistrate took stock of the work of 195 enumerators and 33 supervisors working in the block and directed to speed up the work. He clearly said that at least 20 data should be synchronized per day per enumerator in each HLB, so that the work can be completed within the stipulated time limit.

During the inspection, various schemes run at the block and zonal level were also reviewed. The District Magistrate gave necessary instructions to the Block Development Officer and Circle Officer to ensure better progress in the works of Panchayat Schemes, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, supply system, education and ICDS.

He laid special emphasis on quickly completing the construction of Panchayat government buildings, expediting the work of the zonal office, removing encroachments and ensuring prompt execution of the works of the general public by ending laxity in all departments.

The District Magistrate directed the Block Development Officer to regularly inspect education, ICDS and other development works. Also, necessary guidelines were given to all concerned departments to ensure smooth operation of Panchayat cooperation camps and compliance with departmental instructions.
