According to the report, most of the users were facing problems in the messaging feature. Some people said that they were not able to send messages to anyone, while some were not visible even after sending messages. Many users also said that previously sent messages were not loading.

Problems related to app and server also occurred

Data from DownDetector also revealed that many people faced problems while using the app. Some users faced problems posting or publishing content. Some people also complained about server connection. According to the site’s outage map, the impact of this problem was seen in many big cities of America. These include cities like Los Angeles, Phoenix, Chicago, Washington and New York.

Why is Instagram’s messaging feature important?

Instagram is primarily a photo and video sharing platform, where people like posts, comment on them, and share them with others. But with time its direct message feature has also become quite popular. Today, a large number of people also have personal conversations through Instagram. Therefore, when there was a problem with the DM feature, many users got upset and immediately started complaining about it.

After this problem in Instagram, many people gave funny and angry reactions on social media. One user wrote, “Instagram is down, I am saying it again Instagram is down.” Another user asked, “Are Instagram DMs not working or is this happening only with me?”

Many people also told that their conversation suddenly stopped midway. One user wrote that the app stopped in the middle of three different chats. One person jokingly said that when his friend started asking him difficult questions, Instagram shut down at that very moment, giving him a chance to avoid the conversation.

Question on claim of connection with Iran

Meanwhile, some people on the internet tried to link this problem of Instagram with the ongoing tension between America and Iran. In some posts it was claimed that Iran has targeted the technical infrastructure of enemy countries.
