Many people use turmeric in most vegetables so that it looks good and tastes good. But do you know that there are some vegetables in which turmeric is not used while cooking. One of such vegetables is brinjal. Most of the people use turmeric in making brinjal vegetable. But one should avoid using turmeric while making brinjal vegetable or bharta. Adding turmeric to brinjal curry or bharta adds bitterness to it.
While making fenugreek greens or vegetable, avoid adding turmeric in it. Adding turmeric to it can make its taste astringent. During the cold season, spinach saag, paratha and many other dishes are prepared. Adding turmeric to nutrient-rich spinach can spoil the taste. Turmeric should not be added to spinach.
One should avoid adding turmeric to mustard greens also. In winter, most of the houses like to eat corn bread and mustard greens. If you also use turmeric in mustard greens, then stop using it. Adding turmeric to mustard greens makes its taste astringent.
If you use turmeric while cooking onion leaves vegetable, then avoid it. Onion is used in seasoning and spices in every gravy vegetable. While cooking onion leaves curry, adding turmeric to it spoils the taste.
