Gas and acidity after eating paratha? Add this one thing in flour and get relief
Whether a morning breakfast or a light evening meal—paratha is an important part of the Indian kitchen. But for many people, problems like gas, flatulence or acidity become common immediately after eating parathas. In such a situation, Ayurveda and nutrition experts say that these problems can be avoided by adding a special ingredient to the flour while eating paratha.
Reason for gas and acidity
Gas and acidity in the stomach occur due to many reasons.
Gluten and heavy flour – Maida and wheat flour take longer for the body to digest.
Excessive use of oil or ghee – Fried paratha can increase gas and acid in the stomach.
Heavy food on an empty stomach – When paratha is eaten on an empty stomach, the acid level increases.
Deficiency of digestive enzymes – Decrease in digestive capacity in the body causes gas and burning sensation.
What to mix in paratha flour?
Asafoetida (Asafoetida) is considered most effective in Ayurveda for gas and stomach problems. According to experts, adding a little roasted asafoetida to the flour while kneading paratha has many benefits:
Improves digestion – Asafoetida prevents gas formation in the stomach and makes digestion easier.
Reduces acidity – Asafoetida controls stomach irritation and acid formation.
Relief from gas and bloating – Provides instant relief from the problem of flatulence and heaviness.
Method:
While kneading the dough to make paratha, add half a pinch of roasted asafoetida.
Mix it well and knead a soft dough with water.
Bake the parathas made from this flour on a light pan with less oil.
