Do you know why most heart attacks occur on Mondays?

In modern times, the risk of heart attack is increasing. Nowadays, cases of heart attack are being seen not only in the elderly but also in the youth. Even big celebrities suffer heart attacks at a young age. So even though there is no specific time for a heart attack, most heart attacks occur on a particular day.

Yes, more heart attacks occur on Mondays, the British Heart Foundation reports. The rate of heart attack on these days is 13 percent higher than on other days.

On the other hand, famous cardiothoracic surgeon Dr. Shriram Nene, husband of famous Bollywood celebrity and actress Madhuri Dixit, said on his Instagram account that the risk of heart attack is very high on Monday morning.

According to reports, most heart attacks occur on Mondays. It is said that 13 percent more heart attacks occur on Mondays. People also call Monday Blue Monday. It is said that most heart attacks occur between 6 am and 10 am on Monday. However, there is no exact proof or accurate research for this.

Shriram says that when you wake up on Monday morning, the level of cortisol hormone in the blood increases very much. Therefore a sudden drop in cortisol hormone affects the sleep-wake cycle thereby increasing the risk of heart attack.
