After five years away from YouTube, the Dolan Twins Ethan and Grayson have surprised fans with The Double Takea new short film marking their creative comeback.
They play twin con-artists in the short film that they have co-wrote and directed.
The seven minute film, released on July 7, begins with Ethan searching for the perfect watch at a jewelry store.
After testing out a Rolex, Ethan sneaks behind a display, giving Grayson the chance to impersonate him and claim the luxury timepiece had already been returned.
“You want to search me? Search me,” Grayson tells the security guard, relying on the brothers’ nearly identical appearances despite their subtle distinguishing features.
For the unversed, Grayson has a birthmark on his cheek, while Ethan has a mole on his chin.
While Grayson distracts the staff, Ethan manages to sneak out of the front door, leaving his suit behind and takes ona casual disguise as he runs down the street.
Fans reacted to the surprise upload by the Dolan Twins, with one fan appreciating the thrilling project, saying, “this was so good IT NEEDS TO BE A SERIES.”
