The U.S. dollar fell against the Vietnamese dong on the black market.
The dollar dropped 0.11% to VND26,720 at unofficial exchange points.
Vietcombank kept its rate unchanged at VND26,230.
Globally the U.S. dollar was headed for its first monthly gain since October on Friday, although an earlier rally on hotter-than-expected producer price data for January faded as traders squared positions for the month-end and ahead of the weekend, Reuters reported.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against a basket of currencies including the yen and the euro, fell 0.12% to 97.61, with the euro up 0.18% at $1.1818.
