He also said that people from the other side have been involved in such matters and journalists should feel ashamed of reading such things. Trump said of the attacker, “I’ve read his manifesto. He was radicalized. First he was a Christian, then he became an anti-Christian. He was probably a sick person.”

He said, “I have gone through similar situations before, but this was a new experience for the First Lady. She handled it with strength.
