Donald Trump angry at Indians! Said- ‘In America, after giving birth to children, they invite the whole family’

US President Donald Trump has once again created a sensation with his statements. This time their target is countries like India and China. Trump has posted a long letter on social media, in which he has called India and China ‘hell holes’ i.e. ‘gates to hell’. Trump strongly criticized Birthright Citizenship in America and made serious allegations against Indians.

Indians dominate California’s tech sector

In his letter, Trump has specifically mentioned California’s Silicon Valley and the tech sector there. He claims that the high-tech jobs there have been completely taken over by people from India and China. According to Trump, the recruitment environment in the companies there is no longer fair. He alleged that now it matters more than qualification which country you are from. Trump believes that the system is working in such a way that Indian and Chinese people are getting priority, due to which opportunities for the rest are being eliminated.

Resentment over ‘birth tourism’ and inviting families

Trump attacked ‘Birthright Citizenship’, saying that immigrants deliberately give birth to children in America so that they can easily get citizenship. Once the child gets citizenship, the entire family immigrates to America. Trump said that this serious issue should no longer be decided by lawyers or courts, but by public voting. Citing a social media poll, he claimed that most people want to eliminate or limit citizenship based on birth.

Accused on system and organizations

Trump was not limited to only migrants, he also fiercely targeted the human rights organization ‘American Civil Liberty Union’. He said that this organization promotes policies that benefit illegal immigrants and should be prosecuted under strict laws like organized crime. Trump further alleged that immigrants misuse America’s health services and government facilities, the burden of which falls on the taxpayers there. He even said that now the migrants in the hospitals are taking advantage of the system and huge expenditure is being shown even on minor diseases.

What is the 157 year old citizenship law?

There are two main methods of granting citizenship around the world: the first is ‘right of soil’ (citizenship where one is born) and the second is ‘right of blood’ (citizenship of parents). There is a law of ‘Right of Soil’ in America. In 1868, under the 14th Amendment of the Constitution, it was provisioned that every child born on American soil would be an American citizen. Originally this law was to grant citizenship to former slaves, but now it is being used for ‘birth tourism’. The 2022 report of Pew Research Center shows that about 16 lakh Indian children have got American citizenship on this basis.

Trump’s order is stuck in the courts

After becoming President, Trump tried to stop granting citizenship on the basis of birth through an order on January 20, 2025. However, the Federal Court put a temporary stay on it after a few days. At present, this matter is stuck in legal complications and hearing on it is going on in different courts of America. Trump has made it clear that he does not have much confidence in the courts that they will take the right decision on this.
