Donald Trump: Mexico agrees to stop illegal entry of migrants into America – Donald Trump

Donald Trump : US President-elect Donald Trump said on Thursday that Mexico has agreed to immediately stop the illegal entry of migrants into the US border. This statement comes after Trump's announcement of imposing 25 percent tax on all imports from Mexico and Canada. These countries had expressed their inability to stop the illegal entry of immigrants into America.

In a post on his Truth social platform, Trump said he spoke on the phone with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo and the two had a very productive conversation.

Trump said in his post, “Mexico will stop its people from going to our southern border, this step will be taken with immediate effect. This will go a long way in stopping illegal attacks on America. Thank you.”

Trump said that measures to be taken to stop drug trafficking in America were also discussed between the two. Trump said in a post on Monday that he would sign an executive order to impose a 25 percent tax on imports from Canada and Mexico as his first measure since taking office on January 20.
