Donald Trump’s new threat: “If the deal breaks, we will take lethal action against Iran,” he said. “American ships will remain around Hormuz.”
Washington: Tensions are rising again after the temporary ceasefire between the US and Iran. Now, US President Donald Trump has issued a strong message to Iran, warning that if the deal collapses, more lethal action will be taken against it. Trump also stated that until the original agreement is fully implemented, US troops, ships, and weapons will remain deployed around Iran.
Donald Trump said from the White House on Wednesday that US troops, ships and weapons will remain deployed around Iran until the original agreement is fully implemented.
The US President warned Iran that if the agreement is broken, Iran will face even greater and more forceful action than before. In his address, Trump reiterated that he will not allow Iran to develop a nuclear bomb at any cost. He stated that completely curbing Iran’s nuclear program is his priority.
“Iran’s control over the Strait of Hormuz will not be tolerated.”
The US has also clarified its strategy regarding the Strait of Hormuz. They stated that this vital sea route must remain open and secure at all costs. US Navy ships will be present there to ensure that oil supplies are not disrupted. Trump clarified that for the safety of the global economy, any Iranian control over this route will not be tolerated.
He concluded by claiming that the US military is fully prepared and ready for further action, merely awaiting the order to proceed. Trump advised Iran to seize this diplomatic opportunity, as America’s patience has run out. This message is being seen as a final warning to Iran.
Trump’s statement comes at a time when a two-week ceasefire was recently declared between Iran and the United States. However, there appear to be significant differences between the two sides regarding the terms of
the ceasefire. Trump had previously warned Iran of a massive attack if the Strait of Hormuz was not opened.
Trump’s statement is being seen as part of a strategy to increase pressure on Iran. He clarified that the US will never allow Iran to acquire nuclear capabilities and will take necessary steps to ensure peace and security in the region.
