Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis faced criticism from Shiv Sena (UBT) for not visiting after the recent incidents in Beed and Parbhani in Maharashtra. Countering this, Fadnavis said, “I do not believe in promoting tragedy tourism. For me, concrete action by the government and providing help to the affected families is more important.” He made it clear that his priority is on solving problems rather than on symbolic visits.
Fadnavis' stance regarding Parbhani and Beed incidents
Speaking on the violence in Parbhani following the alleged insult to the Constitution and the murder of a sarpanch in Masarjog village in Beed district, Fadnavis termed these incidents as serious. He said that he is concerned about these matters and is ensuring concrete action. The Chief Minister said that in his absence, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar visited the incident sites and met the families of the victims.
Shiv Sena (UBT) had targeted Fadnavis, alleging that the Chief Minister did not show sensitivity by visiting the incident site. Responding to this, Fadnavis said that his focus is not just on show, but on providing relief to the victims.
Vision of Mahayuti Government: “Will fulfill promises”
During his first press conference in Nagpur, Chief Minister Fadnavis discussed the vision of the grand alliance government. He said that the people have given a historic mandate and the government is committed to fulfilling all the promises.
Fadnavis said, “We will work for the overall and balanced development of Maharashtra. “My experience has prepared me to lead strongly.” He talked in detail on the development roadmap, keeping the priorities of the Mahayuti government in front of the public.
Energy Sector Improvement and Irrigation Projects
Fadnavis announced plans for major reforms in Maharashtra’s energy sector. Referring to the 25-year plan, he said that electricity rates in the state will be stabilized or reduced. Along with this, work has started on the scheme to provide solar energy facilities to poor families.
Talking about irrigation projects, he said that an ambitious plan is being made to interlink six rivers. This project will not only solve the water crisis but will also increase agricultural productivity.
Gadchiroli: Dream of making Naxal affected area a steel city
Chief Minister Fadnavis shared plans to turn Gadchiroli into the next “Steel City” of India. “This Naxal-affected area can become a hub of mining and steel production,” he said. Fadnavis expressed his desire to become the guardian minister for the district and promised to make it an ideal example of development.
Besides this, he also mentioned the plan to launch an integrated digital platform to tackle cyber crimes in the state.
Hit back at the opposition: “Congress itself insulted Ambedkar”
Fadnavis hit back at the opposition by dismissing Congress’s allegations against Union Home Minister Amit Shah of disrespect towards Dr BR Ambedkar. He said, “Congress itself has insulted Ambedkar in the past. “Congress is trying to hide its failures by making false allegations against BJP.”

Assuring the public, the Chief Minister said that his government will not be limited to mere announcements, but will fulfill all the promises in a time bound manner. He said that the main objective of the Mahayuti government is to take Maharashtra towards overall and balanced development.
“Our efforts go beyond lip service. Our focus is on concrete action,” Fadnavis said.
