Don’t ignore it even by mistake! These 5 minor changes seen in the body give a big indication of heart disease.
In today’s time, heart related diseases are increasing rapidly due to poor lifestyle, wrong eating habits and excessive stress. The shocking thing is that now even young people are falling victim to serious problems like heart attack and cardiac arrest. Often people think that heart disease only means severe chest pain, but health experts and cardiologists believe that when the heart becomes unhealthy, the body starts giving small signals much earlier. If these initial symptoms are identified in time, the risk of a major accident or heart attack can be avoided. Let us know about those 5 major changes in the body which show that your heart is not completely healthy.
1. Constant feeling of tiredness and weakness without any reason
If you are getting enough sleep and have not done any heavy physical work, yet you feel lethargy, weakness and extreme fatigue in the body all the time, then it can be a sign of heart weakness. When the heart can’t pump blood properly to the rest of the body, muscles and organs don’t get enough oxygen. Due to this, the body has to work twice as hard for its daily activities, which leads to constant fatigue. This symptom of heart disease is considered very common especially in women.
2. Shortness of breath even after walking a little or climbing stairs
Often people ignore the problem of breathlessness considering it to be a lung related problem or increasing weight. But do you know that shortness of breath is a very big and early symptom of a weak heart? When the heart is unable to circulate blood properly, the pressure on the veins of the lungs increases, causing difficulty in breathing. If you start feeling short of breath or gasping while walking a short distance, lifting light things or climbing the stairs of the house, then you should immediately contact the doctor.
3. Sudden swelling of feet, ankles and soles
Swelling in the feet and ankles is called edema, which is a clear indication of poor heart health. When your heart can’t pump blood as fast as it should, blood flow in the veins slows down. Due to this, due to gravity, body fluid starts accumulating in the lower parts, especially in the legs, ankles and soles. If your feet are suddenly swelling without any injury and your shoes are becoming tight, it could be an early sign of heart failure.
4. Feeling of discomfort, pressure or heaviness in the chest.
The most common and main symptom related to heart is feeling of discomfort in the chest. It is not necessary that you always have severe and unbearable pain. Many times, due to blockage in the arteries of the heart, slight pressure, stiffness, burning sensation or heaviness is felt in the chest as if someone is sitting on the chest. This discomfort may last for a few minutes and may go away with rest. If this pain gradually starts moving towards your left shoulder, neck, jaw or back, then it is a very dangerous condition and you should immediately consult a doctor.
5. Sudden cold sweat and dizziness without any effort
Sudden cold sweat without any heat or workout is another serious symptom of heart disease. When the heart has to work harder to pump blood due to blocked arteries, the body suddenly starts sweating to control its temperature. Along with this, if you feel frequently dizzy, lightheaded or there is darkness in front of your eyes, it means that the blood flow is not reaching your brain properly. These symptoms are considered signs of silent heart attack.
