Avengers: Endgame ends with Evans’ character passing on the mantle of being Captain America to Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson. In the recent Captain America film, too, Mackie played the titular role. However, Rogers coming back to the next instalment in the Avengers franchise might or might not mean Evans returning as Captain America as well, especially given the presence of the alternate timeline that the teaser hints at.
This is the second biggest upcoming release whose promotional material has leaked online. Earlier, a clip from Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film The Odyssey also surfaced prematurely on the internet.
As reported earlier, Robert Downey Jr is coming back to the MCU as Doctor Doom, also known as Victor von Doom, with Avengers: Doomsday. The film is scheduled for a May 01, 2026, release.
