Tom Hiddleston has shared a massive update about Avengers: Doomsday and why the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie will surprise people.
What did Tom Hiddleston say about Avengers: Doomsday?
In Avengers: Doomsday, Hiddleston will reprise his role of Loki, Thor’s adopted brother and one of the MCU’s most iconic antiheroes. During a recent interview with GQHiddleston revealed that he has already completed filming on the forthcoming Avengers movie. While remaining silent on the plot details, the Marvel star explained why Doomsday will surprise many people.
“It is monumental,” Hiddleston said. “The center of the story is absolutely brilliant and was so surprising when I read it. It just has never been done before.”
Hiddleston last played the Asgardian god of mischief in Loki Season 2. In the show’s final episode, Loki became the God of Stories, sacrificing himself to preserve the timelines and save the multiverse. Hiddleston reflected on Loki’s decision to be the “good guy” for the first time.
“In order to become someone different, whose story had a different ending, he had to make peace with the things he did,” Hiddleston explained. “It gave him the power of authorship over his own story.”
