Dr. Preeti Adani’s Swabhiman vision reaches Madhya Pradesh, 1,500 women will get support

Bureau Prayagraj. Now women looking for permanent income in Badarwas, Madhya Pradesh (MP) will get a new way to earn and become self-reliant. In this direction, Adani Foundation, the social service and development arm of Adani Group, has started Adani Vikas Kendra at Badarwas in Shivpuri district, which will provide organized employment opportunities to women close to home. Adani Foundation’s Swabhiman program aims to connect 10 lakh women across India with sustainable livelihoods. Its focus is on taking women out of unorganized and irregular work and providing them access to market-linked sustainable income opportunities.

Spread over approximately 48,000 square feet, the center will operate at its full capacity with 600 modern sewing machines and is designed for both training and production. Here women will be taught practical skills and will get regular employment opportunities. As the center expands, approximately 1,500 women are expected to receive sustainable income, allowing them to support their families with greater confidence.

The center was inaugurated by Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) and MP from Guna Lok Sabha constituency. More than 5,000 women from nearby villages participated in the event, indicating strong demand for local participation and livelihood opportunities.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Scindia said, “What we are seeing in Badarwas is the power to see dreams come true. I congratulate Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani and the Adani Foundation for creating a platform where skills can reach global markets. Their determination is clearly visible in the eyes of my dear didis. Their hopes and dreams are now coming true through meaningful livelihoods. This center is a true engine of empowerment and I am completely We are confident that in the next five years, Badarwas products will make their mark not only in the country but across the world.”

In Badarwas, this initiative is expected to increase the income of families, reduce dependence on informal work and reduce the need for migration, as well as strengthen women’s participation in local economic activities. By investing in infrastructure, skills and market access, Adani Foundation is ensuring that women can earn a regular income and build a secure future for themselves and their families. Adani Foundation will celebrate its 30th anniversary on August 11 this year, marking three decades of continuous commitment towards inclusive growth in every corner of India.
