Draft voter list of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh released, know how many names of people were deleted in both the states.

Draft Voter List: Chief Electoral Officer Sanjeev Kumar Jha held a press conference. In the press conference, he said that under SIR, out of 5,74,06,143 voters, names of 42,74,160 voters have been deleted from the voter list. The claim-objection process will continue till January 22, 2026. The final voter list will run till 21 February.

More than four lakh names were deleted in Bhopal

Maximum names of 4,38,875 voters have been deleted in Bhopal. Bhopal Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh released the draft voter list. There were 21,25,908 voters in Bhopal and after SIR, 16,87,033 voters are left in Bhopal.

Claims and objections can be made in Chhattisgarh till 22 January

Till now there were 2 crore 12 lakh 30 thousand 737 voters in Chhattisgarh, out of which 13% i.e. about 27 lakh 60 thousand names have been removed. Claims and objections can be filed from 23 December 2025 to 22 January 2026. Name can be added back.
