Beijing : Chinese President Xi Jinping congratulated US President-elect Donald Trump on Thursday, November 4 and urged China and the US to find the right way to resolve differences by strengthening dialogue and communication. According to CNN news, Xi spoke to Trump to congratulate him on his landslide victory. However, the Chinese Foreign Ministry refused to answer a question about this. Trump won the US presidential election for the second time on Wednesday, one of the most remarkable comebacks in US electoral history.
According to media reports, in his congratulatory message to Trump, Xi urged the two countries to strengthen dialogue and communication, resolve differences and enhance mutually beneficial cooperation. “I urge China and the United States to enhance mutually beneficial cooperation,” Xi said. “I urge China and the United States to take the right path to walk together into the new era,” he said.

Xi said the two countries, which have the world's top two economies, should strengthen dialogue and communication. The Foreign Ministry said that Vice President Han Zheng sent a congratulatory message to America's newly elected Vice President JD Vance. CNN quoted sources as saying that Xi spoke to Trump to congratulate him on his election victory. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning, however, declined to answer questions about the phone conversation between Xi and Trump.
