Milkypur, Ayodhya. The opposition of the villagers on the drain construction work in Rai Patti village of Amaniganj development block is increasing. Villagers have alleged that the drain was being constructed with yellow bricks and poor quality mortar, which is evidence of poor construction. The villagers expressed anger in this matter and the construction work has been stopped.
Block Development Officer Akhilesh Gupta said that the construction work has been stopped and a three-member team has been formed for investigation. He said that the investigation team will investigate the construction work and if shoddy construction is found then action will be taken against the concerned contractor and officials.
Villagers told that the drain was being constructed with Raj Finance and 15th Finance, but substandard material was being used in the construction work. He said that he demands a high-level investigation into the matter and demands action against the culprits. In this matter, Gram Panchayat head Sheela Devi said that the construction work has been stopped and a team has been formed for investigation. He said that if substandard construction is found, action will be taken against the concerned contractor and officials.
