‘Please do a solo film in future’

Abhishek Pathak told that money was not the reason for this decision at all. Akshay Khanna liked the script. Even the actor’s look and costume had been finalized. Even the contract was signed. But just a day before the release of ‘Dhurandhar’, Akshay decided to leave the film. Actually, there were differences of opinion regarding the look of the character. The story was to continue from where Drishyam 2 ended. There was huge demand for Akshay’s hair wig. The director further said, ‘I challenge him to do a solo film in the future.’ For this reason the matter got stuck and Akshay said no to the film.

According to Abhishek, Ajay clearly said that this matter is between the makers and Akshay and whatever feels right should be done in the future.
