Drishyam 3 director sent legal notice to Akshay Khanna, said- ‘Started considering himself a superstar’

The news of Akshaye Khanna’s exit from the third part of Bollywood’s superhit franchise Drishyam has created a stir. The film’s producer Kumar Mangat Pathak has accused Akshay of adopting unprofessional attitude and has sent him a legal notice. He says that the recent success has gone to Akshay’s head.

Wig’s insistence became the cause of controversy

Kumar Mangat told that Akshay Khanna was signed for the film after a formal agreement. The fees were also decided after several rounds of negotiations. But just ten days before the shooting started, Akshay left the project. The main controversy was about wearing a wig.

In Drishyam 2, Akshay’s character was bald and Drishyam 3 starts from the same night where the second part ended. In such a situation, wearing a wig would break the continuity. Director Abhishek Pathak explained to him and at first Akshay agreed, but later on the advice of the people around him, he became adamant. Ultimately he decided to leave the film.
