Drizzle increased chill in Delhi, no reduction in pollution

New Delhi: Air pollution in Delhi NCR is not showing any signs of stopping since last month. To control air pollution, the fourth phase of GRAP, Group 4, was implemented here, in which restrictions were imposed on many things. But as soon as the situation showed improvement, Grape 4 was removed and now things are back on track in Delhi NCR.

Let us tell you that according to the data of Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), despite light rain, the Air Quality Index (AQI) in the capital did not improve and it stood at 406, which falls in the 'severe' category.

The cold increased a bit due to light rain

There was drizzle and fog in the national capital on Monday morning and the minimum temperature was recorded at 8.6 degrees Celsius. Which is one degree less than the average temperature of this season. According to IMD, there was drizzle in some parts of Delhi on Monday morning and the maximum temperature was recorded at 18.4 degrees Celsius, which is 2.3 degrees below the season's average.

Along with this, the cold has increased a bit due to light rain in the morning. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert of rain for 3 days. Along with this, there is also a possibility of severe cold due to fog in the capital. Earlier on Sunday, the maximum temperature in the capital was recorded at 24.1 degrees and the minimum temperature was 7.3 degrees. Due to snowfall in the mountains between 26 to 28 December, there may be heavy rain in many plain states including Delhi in North India. At present, the maximum and minimum temperature in Delhi remains between 21 to 24°C and 7 to 9°C.
