Drone awareness program organized by Golden Kattar Division for ex-servicemen in Gandhinagar
Gandhinagar, December 22, 2025: Drone awareness program in Gandhinagar retired soldiers For this, a drone awareness program was organized by the Golden Katar Division. Golden Kattar Division successfully conducted a comprehensive drone awareness program for ex-servicemen from 17 to 19 December 2025, with a large participation of 300 ex-servicemen. The objective of this initiative was to empower veterans with updated knowledge on the rapidly evolving drone technology, their uses, associated safety issues and safe operating practices.
What was the intention of this awareness camp?
An awareness camp was organized inside the military station, where modern surveillance, espionage, logistics and counter-drone systems were demonstrated. The veterans were briefed about the various categories of drones, basic flight principles, operational capabilities, legal framework governing drone use in India and emerging trends in the unmanned aerial ecosystem.
Special emphasis was placed on the national security aspect, highlighting the role of drones in modern warfare, border surveillance, disaster response, humanitarian assistance and civilian applications.
What was shown to the retired soldiers?
During this time, ex-servicemen were allowed to closely observe the drone design, functioning, payload integration and safety practices. Experts shared insights on identifying potential aerial threats, reporting procedures, precautions to avoid misuse, and responsible use of UAV technology in civilian life.
The program also served as an important platform to strengthen relationships with veterans, acknowledging their continued contribution as responsible national citizens.
This initiative reflects a commitment to capacity building, awareness building and community engagement to keep our veterans informed, alert and technically aware in today’s dynamic security environment. The enthusiastic response, mutual discussion and keen interest of the ex-servicemen made this outreach a great success.
