Drug supply network busted in outer district, accused arrested

New Delhi. The Anti-Narcotics Squad of the Outer District has taken a major action and exposed the drug supply network. The police team arrested an accused and recovered smack and cocaine from his possession. Through this operation, not only an important step has been taken towards curbing the drug trade, but the search for other people associated with it has also been intensified.

According to the police, a team of Anti-Narcotics Squad was formed on March 22, 2026, which included SI Raj Kumar, SI Mukesh, ASI Dilbag and Head Constable Dinesh. This team was led by Inspector Rajpal and the entire action was carried out under the supervision of ACP Operations Virendra Singh. The team was patrolling in Sultanpuri police station area when they received secret information that a person was going to supply drugs near EWS Flats, Sultanpuri.

As soon as the information was received, the police laid a trap on the spot. After some time on March 23, a young man reached there on a motorcycle, but after seeing the police, he tried to run away. The police team showed promptness and surrounded him and caught him. During interrogation, he was identified as 26-year-old Om Prakash, a resident of Gopalganj, Bihar. During the search, suspicious substance was recovered from him, which when tested with a field testing kit was confirmed to be smack and cocaine. On weighing, it was found to be 20 grams of smack and 4 grams of cocaine, which comes in intermediate quantity.

Apart from this, the motorcycle used in the incident was also confiscated. In this case, FIR number 160/2026 has been registered under Section 21 of the NDPS Act in Sultanpuri police station and the accused has been arrested. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused was involved in the supply of smack and cocaine. The police are now trying to identify and arrest other people associated with this network. This action of the Delhi Police has dealt a major blow to the illegal drug trade in the area and is a clear indication that the campaign against drugs will continue with strictness.
