Now Vivo, Xiaomi and Oppo are adopting a different path in the smartphone market. These companies are providing the facility to add external lens with their premium phones, so that the phone can work like a DSLR and will be known among the people as DSLR Phone Camera.
Xiaomi: Camera runs inside the phone itself
Xiaomi has given a unique camera system in its 17 Ultra, which moves inside the phone. This gives the user more control while taking photos. It has a 67mm mount, with which different camera lenses can be installed. Its price in India starts from around Rs 1.40 lakh, while the photography kit is available for Rs 20 thousand.
Oppo: Experience like pro camera
Oppo’s Find X9 Pro has a 200MP telephoto camera, while the Find X9 Ultra has two 200MP cameras. After installing the external lens, the user gets separate control rings for zoom and focus. Oppo has partnered with camera brand Hasselblad, which makes the photo quality even better. Its price starts from Rs 1.10 lakh.
Vivo: New explosion with 105x zoom
Vivo X300 Ultra has two 200MP cameras, one primary and the other telephoto. It has digital zoom up to 105x. By adding an external lens to it, the zoom capability increases by 20x. This lens has been developed in collaboration with German company ZEISS. This phone is going to be launched on 6th May.
How do external lenses work?
These lenses are mounted directly on the phone’s camera and work like a telescope.
