The temperature of the city dropped after the rain.
The sudden rain in Delhi has given relief to the city residents from the scorching heat that they have been facing for the last few days. The maximum temperature in the national capital recorded a drop to 36.4 degrees Celsius on Friday, which is 2.9 degrees below normal. The relief came after rain and hailstorm on Thursday, which helped in bringing down the temperature. Rain as well as hailstorm cooled the weather in many areas of the city, giving people some respite from the heat. The Meteorological Department has predicted partly cloudy sky for Friday night and has also predicted drizzle with thunder in the late night. According to the department, in the coming days also, Delhiites may see a slight change in the weather, which may reduce the effect of heat to some extent.
