Karwar:- The health of more than 12 employees deteriorated due to chlorine gas leak in an Aditya Birla Group company near Binaga in Karwar, Karnataka on Saturday afternoon. Police said that the employees working in the company are from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
Among the employees who were affected by chlorine gas, Neelkanth (22), Jahanur (20), Kamlesh Verma (22), Nandkishore (21), Deepu (28), Aziz (23), Kallu (37), Sujan (26), Najidullah. (24), Bejan Kumar (27), Kishan Kumar (28) and Mohita Verma (21).
It is reported that these employees fell ill due to chemical leakage while working in the company. He was immediately sent to Karwar District Hospital and is undergoing emergency treatment. On receiving information about this, company officials and local police reached the spot.
The employees have alleged that a few days ago, an employee had died due to chlorine gas leaking in the company, but the company did not take any action. Police said that a case has been registered in Karwar rural police station.
