President Vladimir Putin has acknowledged the damage caused by the Ukraine attack. Due to which there is a shortage of petrol-diesel. In this situation, he has assured to increase the security of oil facilities and increase the production in addition to rushing the export.
Ukraine has recently increased its drone strikes against Russia. Russian military bases and energy facilities are being targeted. Ukrainian long-range drones have targeted two Russian oil refineries, Ukrainian President Zelensky wrote in a Sunday telegram. Due to which huge damage has been done. “Every attack on our side is a weakening of Russian aggression and a step towards peace,” he said. Needless to say, this attack by Ukraine has had a huge impact on Russia’s energy supply. Fuel oil shortage has become extreme in many provinces there. Long queues were seen at petrol pumps. In this situation, Moscow has limited the distribution of fuel.

After acknowledging the energy crisis on Monday, Putin said in a meeting with top officials that Russia is facing an energy crisis due to the war in Ukraine. A task force is working to ensure adequate fuel supply across the country. Putin also said the impact of Ukraine’s drone attacks on oil facilities should be minimized. This is the main reason for fuel shortage. This fuel crisis is affecting the country’s motorists and traders. Long queues are also seen at gas stations. In this situation good quality petrol is not available. A complete ban on diesel exports is being discussed in this situation. But Putin told officials no action should be taken that could create new problems for oil producers.
Meanwhile, in an interview given to Russian state television, Putin blasted Ukraine and said that Ukraine’s goal is to create discord in the country and force Russia to stop its military operations. However, he also said that these attacks had no effect on the battlefield. He added that Ukraine had offered to stop attacks inside both countries and limit the fighting to the regions of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhia, but Russia had refused.
