On this basis, a person is given different types of punishment for his every sin and bad deed. According to Garuda Purana, 16 types of grave sins have been mentioned. People who commit these bad deeds get punished in hell. Now the question arises that what punishment is given for which sins?
What is the punishment for 5 deeds?
raurav hell -To this hell are sent the souls of those who have lied in their life or given false testimony against others. In this hell a terrible creature named Ruru punishes them.
Tamishra hell –Here come the souls of those people who have usurped the wealth of others in their life. The souls of such people are beaten until they become unconscious.
Aquarius hell – This place is visited by people who have killed an animal out of greed. The souls of such people are punished by putting them in hot oil.

Avichi hell – The person who remains against religion throughout his life, spreads atheism and speaks ill of the Vedas and scriptures, is sent to Avichi hell. In this hell the soul is repeatedly thrown into a pool of human blood and flesh.
puyod hell – Those who do not respect and serve their parents, as well as do not take care of their children, have to go to Puyod hell after death. In this hell a person is immersed in a pool filled with excrement and urine.
According to Garuda Purana, after a person suffers the punishment of hell, the soul has to take birth in different incarnations on earth, due to which it suffers the consequences of its deeds.
