Follow these steps to change Gmail username

Choose or create your new username and confirm it. Currently, this feature of Google is available only for users in America. The company is trying to bring this feature to all users in a phased manner.

Google has said that under the new feature, when a user changes their email address, the user’s old Gmail ID will continue to function as an optional email address. If someone sends an email to your old email id, you will receive that email on your new email id. Some limitations are set for changing Gmail username.
