Early Storm Sinks Delhi Capitals as CSK Take Charge Amid Drizzles
Delhi Capitals have a shaky start as they lost three quick wickets in the IPL 2026 game played against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Arun Jaitley Stadium.
They lost the wickets of Pathum Nissanka, KL Rahul and Karun Nair at regular intervals in Tuesday’s clash.
After choosing to bat first, Pathum Nissanka and KL Rahul opened the innings while Akeal Hosein opened the bowling attack. The Delhi Capitals duo made a slow start and were seen restless at the crease.
Mukesh Choudhary brought the first breakthrough, dismissing Nissanka for 19 runs. He got dismissed on the back foot on a full-length and outside off delivery where he tried to hit above mid on, but Brevis took a comfortable catch.
Akeal Hosein got his first wicket, dismissing KL Rahul for 12 runs. He got dismissed on a outside off delivery where the ball gripped the surface as the wk-batter ended up slicing in the air and Ruturaj Gaikwad took the catch.
You know it’s a huge moment when Akeal Hosel brings out THAT celebration! 🥶
