Earthquake: Earth shook in Afghanistan, earthquake tremors felt in Jammu and Kashmir also
Srinagar : An earthquake of 5.8 magnitude was felt in the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border area late Thursday afternoon in Jammu and Kashmir. The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 209 kilometers, whose coordinates were 71.32° East longitude and 36.62° North latitude. A mild tremor was felt in various parts of the Himalayan region at around 04:19 pm.
Earthquake tremors have been felt strongly in Jammu and Kashmir. There has been no news of any casualties or damage to any property so far. Meanwhile, an alert has been issued due to the earthquake.
