Earthquake in Bihar politics! KC Tyagi said goodbye to JDU, will he join another party?

Patna: A big change is being seen in the politics of Bihar. Senior Janata Dal (United) leader and long-time face of the party, K.C. Tyagi has decided not to renew the membership of JDU. This has intensified the discussion in political circles. Tyagi has been associated with JDU for decades, but now he has clearly indicated his separation from the party.

Formal separation from JDU

How. Tyagi clarified that the party’s recent membership drive had ended and he refused to participate in it. Tyagi, one of the founding members of JDU, held important positions like general secretary and national spokesperson for a long time.

His move is being considered as the end of an era in Bihar politics. According to party sources, relations between Tyagi and JDU were already cold, but now this separation has come to the fore formally with his not taking membership.

Tyagi did not move away from ideology

Despite leaving the party, K.C. Tyagi has emphasized his ideological commitment. He said that he will remain active as before in fighting for the interests of backward classes, farmers, agricultural laborers and weaker sections of the society.

Tyagi considers the principles of socialist leaders like Bharat Ratna Chaudhary Charan Singh, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia and Karpoori Thakur as his guides. He made it clear that this decision is not about turning away from any ideology, but about finding a new path.

Old friendship with Nitish Kumar continues

How. Recalling his relationship with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Tyagi said that both have been together for almost 50 years. Political paths may have diverged, but there has been no decrease in personal respect and affection.

This statement is a rare example in politics, where old friendship and dignity remain even after leaving the party. Tyagi also expressed emotion by calling Nitish Kumar his old friend.

Important meeting in Delhi on 22 March

KC regarding his future. Tyagi has given a big hint. He has called a big meeting on 22 March 2026 at Mavalankar Hall in New Delhi. His political friends, workers and like-minded people will attend this meeting.
