Earthquake in Hingoli, Maharashtra: Earth shook with 4.7 intensity, cracks appeared in buildings

Sudden earthquake tremors were felt in Hingoli district on Saturday morning. Its intensity was measured at 4.7 on the Richter scale. The epicenter of the earthquake was about 10 kilometers below the ground, due to which its impact was felt in the surrounding areas as well.

In which areas were the tremors felt?

The tremors of this earthquake were also felt in many parts of Nanded and Parbhani districts. Especially in rural areas, people felt a slight vibration, which created an atmosphere of panic for some time.

Cracks in community buildings and houses

Cracks were seen in some houses and a community building in Pangra Shinde village of Hingoli due to the earthquake. However, it is a matter of relief that there has been no news of any loss of life or property. The administration team is reaching the spot and taking stock of the damage.

What did the administration say? appeal to the people

The local administration has appealed to the people to remain calm and follow the safety rules. Officials have said that if tremors are felt again, then immediately go to an open place and inform on the helpline. Also, in houses which have tin roof, it is advised to remove heavy stones and tie the sheets properly.

The commotion was felt in the college also

A teacher present in a college in Nanded told that suddenly a vibration and sound was felt, which was not understood at first, but later it was found out that it was an earthquake. This definitely caused panic for some time, but the situation soon returned to normal.
